WELCOME

Welcome to BleuDore! We're so glad you're here!

Who is BleuDore?

BleuDore Pty Ltd is a family-centred practice supporting children, families, and practitioners to navigate complexity with compassion, clarity, and care. We work across behaviour support, child protection, family services, training, and advocacy, always with a strong focus on safety, connection, and understanding.

At BleuDore, we believe people do the best they can with the tools, support, and systems around them. Our role is not to judge, but to walk alongside, ask better questions, and help create environments where children and families can feel safe, regulated, and supported to thrive.

We are personable, practical, and deeply values-driven, bringing professional expertise together with real-world understanding.

What makes us different?

Relationship first, always
Our work is grounded in Trust-Based Relational Intervention® (TBRI®) and a commitment to strengthening families through connection, felt safety, and responsive care. We understand behaviour as communication and prioritise relationships as the foundation for change.

Strong child protection expertise
We bring extensive experience across Child Protection, including complex foster and kinship care assessments, suitability reviews, Family Group Meetings, supervised family contact, and advocacy. Children’s voices, safety, and relational permanency sit at the centre of everything we do.

Advocacy that matters
BleuDore actively advocates for children, families, and carers, particularly within complex systems where power, trauma, disability, and domestic and family violence intersect. We support people to be heard, understood, and treated with dignity.

Domestic and Family Violence-informed practice
Our work is shaped by a strong understanding of Domestic and Family Violence, coercive control, and system impacts. We prioritise safety, accountability, and trauma-informed responses for both adults and children.

Keeping kids safe - on the road and beyond
BleuDore proudly includes The Car Seat Guy, an Emergency Services professional and accredited Child Restraint Technician. His commitment to child safety is driven by lived experience and firsthand exposure to the devastating outcomes of incorrectly installed car seats. Education, prevention, and getting it right matter—because safety is not optional.

Supporting the people who do the work
We are passionate about supporting practitioners across the sector through training, supervision, consultation, and reflective practice, because sustainable, ethical practice starts with well-supported professionals.

A Bit About Ellie

Reliable & Honest

EllieThomasConsulting-23.jpg

I was born and raised in Yeppoon, I won't tell you how long ago, but if you're familiar with Yeppoon, the Yeppoon Hospital was still where the Lagoon is!

I've established a career based on my unwavering passion for people. My professional career started in sales, I can see your eye rolls from here! But stay with me, I firmly believe the big bad world of sales (and insurance sales at that!) set me up for success as a social services professional and leader. It taught me to really listen to people's needs and create innovative solutions for people.

My career has led me to spend significant time in the Child Protection Sector, allowing me to deepen my knowledge of the development and wellbeing of children. Helping parents and carers manage complex behaviours and create environments that allow children to develop and grow in the best possible circumstances.

Academically I have a bit of a unique set of qualifications. Starting and underpinned with a Bachelor of Laws, I have built on this with post-graduate study in Behaviour Analysis, Family Dispute Resolution, Mental Health, Counselling, and Strategic Leadership, bringing together my passions for Law and Social Services.

I find that my education, background, and experience come together to allow me to be an effective Consultant, Family Dispute Resolution and Mediator across a broad range of matters.

Outside of that, I'm a Neurodiverse Mum and Wife, Soccer Mum, a Horse Riding Mum, a lover of baking and caffeine dependant life form! I can't wait to see how I might be able to help you.

Feedback & Reviews

Ellie is the right blend of impartial, supportive and won't take any rubbish (I'm talking about from me!). She was child centric and called me out when needed. Without that, I don't think we ever would have had an agreement.

CC - Father

When Ellie asked me in a private session 'Why are we arguing about a $5000 car? Is it about the car or is it about the hurt in your heart?' - I knew that as much as I didn't want to hear that, I had a mediator that was actually going to help us resolve this today. And she did.

PB - Property and Parenting

I never thought mediation would have a therapeutic side, but then I met Ellie. My ex agrees that we finished mediation in a far better place than we started. Ellie held space for our fears and helped us unpack those through the process.
